We are now offering OB/GYN appointments at our new satellite office in Talladega.
Dr. Hall-Minnie and Dr. Malek are excited for the opportunity to provide women’s health care to this community. They are both passionate about caring for underserved populations and believe it is important that women have access to preventative care and cancer screenings like pap smears and mammograms in addition to maternal health care. According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, “Alabama ranks third in the nation for incidence and deaths from cervical cancer.” We want to help change this figure by improving access to OB/GYN care in Talladega County!
In addition to annual/well woman exams, we will also be able to evaluate and treat common complaints like heavy periods, pelvic pain, menopause, contraception, vaginal discharge, and fibroids. We are partnering with Citizen’s Baptist, so patients will be able to have labs and imaging like mammograms and pelvic ultrasounds performed at the hospital. Dr. Hall-Minnie and Dr. Malek are seeing patients on alternating Mondays. They are both accepting new patients.

Our office is located in the Citizen’s Medical Office Building, which is down the hill from the hospital at 320 Coosa St. East, Suite D. The building was recently renovated and has convenient and free parking! Suite D is the Orange Pod in the rear of the building.

We will deliver all OB patients and perform most surgical procedures at Brookwood Baptist’s Women’s Medical Center in Birmingham. There are some in-office procedures and OB visits that require equipment or supplies that are only available at our Birmingham office, but our goal is to provide as much care as safely possible in Talladega. Please be patient as we work out the issues of a new satellite location, and let us know if there are ways we can make it better!
