As obstetricians and gynecologists, we care for women throughout their reproductive lives. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that girls have their first gynecologic visit between the ages of 13 and 15 years. At Sparks & Favor we want a young woman’s first visit to be a positive experience and an opportunity to learn about how to stay healthy as she matures. This visit will not normally include a pelvic exam unless a teen is experiencing a gynecologic problem.
